Dr. Keating was first exposed to chiropractic at the age of seven after suffering a wrestling injury. He responded very quickly to treatment and continued to receive care throughout his childhood and teenage years.
It was not until his high school years that he became aware chiropractic care was more than just a “fix” for his injuries. While receiving treatment for an acute shoulder injury, his chiropractor discovered a misalignment, which he suspected as the source of the migraines that Dr. Keating had suffered with for many years. After a few treatments, he experienced no migraines for over two years. From that point on, Dr. Keating committed to regular chiropractic care to avoid migraines and improve his overall health.
Dr. Keating pursued a career in chiropractic due to his positive personal healing experiences. After completing his undergraduate work at Kansas State University, he graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic college in 1986. He had the privilege to practice with Dr. Paul Schaal in Overland Park. Dr. Schaal was a former third baseman for the Kansas City Royals. During the next three years, Dr. Keating enjoyed working with numerous professional athletes and teams, such as: Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, Kings, Comets, and Toronto Ball Clubs. After his successful years in Overland Park, the opportunity to return home to Junction City presented itself. He has provided dedicated care to the Junction City community since 1989.
Dr. Keating is married and has two children, who are Chapman graduates currently attending Kansas State University. He is actively involved in the community and serves in various church and civic capacities. He has served sixteen years on the Board of Education for the Chapman Schools.
